The Puli dog breed can be traced back over 1,000 years, originating from Hungary where they were primarily used as sheepdogs. They are so deeply integrated into Hungarian culture that they were even featured on old Hungarian postage stamps!

Pulis are known for their unique corded coat, which takes about 4-5 years to fully develop. This dense, weather-resistant coat is historically beneficial for shielding them from harsh climate and protecting them against predators when they were guarding flocks.
